VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (QCF):  Learners will gain skills, knowledge and the understanding needed to perform professional Reflexology treatments for clients via employment or self-employment in the beauty therapy or complementary therapy industry.

 

The course will run for 8 consecutive weeks (one day each week) with tutoring, practice and mock assessments incorporated into the 8 week syllabus.

 

All training dates are mandatory. You will be expected to do practical and written assignments at home during the 8 weeks to keep up with the course structure.

 

There will follow a set period for you to complete the 100 case studies required and a date will be set for your completed portfolio to be submitted.

A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.

VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathologies for complementary Therapies is the 'foundation' upon which all other Complementary, Beauty and Sports Therapy awards are based.

 

Learners will gain skills and knowledge and the understanding needed to understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body. In just a few weeks you can be on the way to studying the practical therapies of Swedish Body Massage, Reflexology or Indian Head Massage that are underpinning skills for both the beauty and complementary therapy industry.

 

The course is an open learning course which can be completed at home and needs no classroom based study. The course should be completed within one year of commencement.

 

Human Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology

 

- Medical terminology

 

- 12 body systems including cells and tissues, skin, - skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and urinary

 

- Basic pathology of each of the above systems

 

Assignments and Assessments

 

- This course is studied at home and can be supplied via hard copy or email

 

- 1 assignment to complete on Less Common Pathology

 

- 2 separate Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Theory Papers each lasting 2 hours.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy (QCF) is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as an aromatherapist.

 

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as an aromatherapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

 

Aromatherapy is a holistic hands-on therapy which promotes a physical, spiritual, emotional and mental sense of harmony.

 

Aromatherapy has proved to be highly successful in the alleviation and cure of many ailments. Aromatherapy works in two ways – the widely accepted benefits of body massage and the inhalation of essential oils reduce stress and improve the general state of health and well-being. This is a comforting, reassuring and healing therapy.

 

This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as an aromatherapist including mandatory units covering the following: knowledge and understanding of complementary therapy concepts, business practice, anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies. You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide aromatherapy services.

 

Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and essential oils. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to blend essential oils in a tailor-made fashion for each client and provide relaxing aromatherapy massage treatments using different massage techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
